Hailing from the Eastern Shore of Virginia, The Waterfront Band defines themselves
as “progressive Americana”.   With each member bringing influences of rock, pop,
country, bluegrass, soul, and even a touch of theater.  If Aretha Franklin, U2, Alison Krauss,
and the Eagles formed a band together, it would be The Waterfront Band.
The Waterfront Band consists of Sherry Belote on vocals,  Pat Belote on guitar and
keyboards, Gary Gibb on bass,  Wes Parks on banjo, guitar, and mandolin, and Rick Black
on drums.  Sherry, Pat and Gary started playing together with Storm Warning in 1990,
and since each has played in numerous local bands, churches, and praise groups.
Sherry, a local singing icon, also has acted in over 30 Trawler Dinner Theater musicals
including “Hymn To The Chesapeake” which she traveled to St. Petersburg Russia
to perform,  and released a CD with the trio Heaven Sent in 2004.  Wes Parks is a
Delmarva bluegrass legend who has won countless Berlin Md. Fiddler’s convention contest.
He also played banjo at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN.  Rick Black is originally from
Rochester, NY has played in many rock bands since his college days and plays drums
now at Onancock Baptist Church.   The Waterfront Band has opened for Virginia
singing icon Robbin Thompson.
Their original music is a style all it’s own, and the popular songs they cover, whether a
Mowtown song, a Sugarland, Pat Benatar, or Coldplay tune are all done
         the Waterfront Band style.
